In this course you can learn how to make hand crafted paper using the centuries old tecnique of soaking the hemp and cotton and mixing them with other plant fibers, earthen materials and natural pigments.
The paper mixture is spread on a frame and dried in open air.
During each of these moments you can act a creative intervention in order to obtain a particoular result.
We'll experiment different ways to prepare the paper pulp.
We'll added different elements to the basic cotton pulp to have different expressive sheets .
We'll experiment the Western and the Eastern method to prepare the pulp to analyze the differences of style and function.
We'll work in a creative way on the frame while spreading the pulp to have shaped or decorated sheets.
We'll use reliefs and three-dimensional matrices in order to obtain three-dimensional sheets and paper sculptures.
We'll learn how to make prints like silkscreen using different coloured paper pulps
and to create art works using different paper pulps.
At the end each student will prepare his/her own project ( a limited edition , a sculpture , an art object , a book...)
that will be realized in the workshop.

It's possible to attend individual lessons. It is also possible to use the lab in order to create your own art-works and prints.
Price for individual lessons is 28 euro per hour
the price for using the lab is 50 euros for four hours.
